Hello class, recently we have been discussing important skills in order to get a job, but we also need to consider what it will take to keep a job after we are hired. At your table take a look at the list below and then come up with scenarios/examples in which you can demonstrate each point. Afterwards we will share information that each group came up with. You will complete this either on your computer or on a larger post it note. Be thorough and creative please!
How to keep a job
- Consider if you can make any beneficial changes.
- Get along with your coworkers.
- Be irreplaceable.
- Do your job to the best of your ability.
- Be Prepared
- Maintain a good attendance record/Be punctual.
- Offer your assistance.
- Add valuable contributions.
