1.2.2 Activity #3 Plant and Animal Cell Models
Students, look at all the different ways plant and animal cells are represented in models. Use this page as a resource when navigating your lessons.
Note: Cell Models and illustrations come in varying degrees of detail, colors, and shapes. Look at all the different ways plant and animal cells are represented! Pay special attention to the similarities and differences between cell organelles in plant and animal cells. Although many models show great detail, in 7th grade the following organelles are required and should be your main focus:
- Cell membrane
- Nucleus
- Cytoplasm
- Mitochondrion
- Vacuole
- Chloroplast (only in plant cells)
- Cell wall (only in plant cells)
