1.3.4 Activity #2 Cell Model Project Overview
Content objective: I can create cell model to deepen my understanding of cell organelles and their functions
Look at the different plant and animal cell models below, reflect- why do we use models in science?
In science we use models to better understand complex ideas, we can take household items and materials and have them represent cell organelles. This gives us a new perspective on our understanding of cells. Models can sometimes make hard concepts easier to understand. Models aren't always perfect though, there are limitations. For example, some models might not reflect exact details of the cell, or not go in as much depth as we would like.
Today, we will begin a 3 day project on cell models. Click here Links to an external site.to access the entire cell project introduction and instructions. It is broken down into 3 days. In the next activity you will complete the 3 tasks associated with Day 1.
