Indefinite Articles

"Un"  and  "una"  are called indefinite articles and are the equivalent of  "a"  and  "an"  in English. 

"Un"  is used with masculine nouns;  "una"  is used with feminine nouns:      un libro   (the book)      una carpet    (a folder)
