For this skills assessment, you will state three items that you need to purchase that are over $100 US dollars.  The trick to this assessment is that you will imagine that you live in a country where $1 US is equal to $100 Soles.  You will state how much these items are in Soles.  For example, iPod $500 = $50.000 soles.  You would say something like, "Yo necesito un iPod.  Un iPod cuesta cincuenta mil soles.

17 pts No Description Student shows that they can perform the task at hand well. There are a few small errors and room for improvement. A native Spanish-speaker would be able to understand but might have to struggle at times.
14 pts No Description Student seems to fumble and stumble for the right words. There are quite a few errors that would make the student hard to understand by a native Spanish-speaker but the overall message would be understood.
0 pts No Marks Student really struggles a lot. There may be a lot of English used, pronunciation is poor and student would likely not be understood by a native Spanish-speaker.
